Plumbing & Sanitary Works

Water Supply System

System for collecting, transmitting, treating, storing, and distributing water for homes, commercial establishments, industries, and irrigation, as well as for public purposes such as firefighting and street flushing.

Drain-Waste-Vent System

The drain-waste-vent (or DWV) system allows air to enter the plumbing system so that sewage and grey water can be removed from a dwelling. Water produced by sinks, showers, and toilets is called drain; waste is called waste water. Water must flow freely downhill to avoid a vacuum, so proper venting is required. Water must run down a waste pipe with air entering from either an external or internal roof vent.

Kitchen Plumbing System

  1. Dishwasher supply: Pipes connecting the dishwasher to water.
  2. Hot and cold water supply below the sink. Located near other fixtures that require water, such as the dishwasher or additional sinks in islands.
  3. Drain: The system that removes waste water.
  4. Flexible supply tube: These tubes connect the valves to the kitchen faucet.
  5. Shutoff valve: Used to control and manage water flow and water pressure, as well as to completely shut off water.
  6. Gas valves: These control the flow of natural gas

Bathroom Plumbing System
